Ale lovers toast festival success
MORE than 2,700 pints were enjoyed during the Wellingborough Beer Festival last month.
The three-day event, organised by the Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce, kicked off on Thursday September 24 and took place at the All Saints Church Hall, Midland Road.
The festival proved to be a huge success, with more than 800 people indulging in some 35 real beers, ciders and wines – nearly 340 gallons!
Beer festival organiser, Alan Piggot, said: “We were delighted with how well the event went and how many people turned up. Everyone appeared to enjoy themselves and we had lovely comments from lots of people. Most importantly, fun was had by everyone involved.”
Attendees were entertained by local bands including Shannodore and Dr Busker & his Village Idiots.
