Help for volunteers
Grants available from Northampton Sport
CLUBS looking to train volunteers could be entitled to grants from Northamptonshire Sport, which is now offering scholarships to Clubmark clubs.
The initiative is to help with the cost of training volunteers and covers courses in areas such as safeguarding and protecting children, first aid, grounds staff courses, refereeing/umpiring courses (but not sports coaching courses which are supported through coaching scholarships).
Clubs can apply for up to £50 per course and up to £250 per club per year.
A full list of the courses offered by Northamptonshire Sport can be found at www.course-bookings.northamptonshiresport.org but funding can be used for any sports specific courses and is not restricted to courses run by Northamptonshire Sport.
