Classic car auctioneers under way
AN auction house specialising in sales of classic cars has staged its debut event at the Bedford Autodrome in Thurleigh.
Classics Central Auction on Sunday September 6 saw the successful sale of 30 of 52 lots, achieving a sale rate of 58%.
Classics Central’s Rosie Magnall said: “Around 250 people attended the auction – a large proportion of them from nearby Northamptonshire – including families and individuals, many of whom travelled in their own classic cars to the event, meaning our car park was full of fabulous cars from a variety of decades and countries!
“We received excellent feedback – attendees particularly liked the venue. The Autodrome itself was designed by former F1 driver, Jonathan Palmer. Our second auction is coming up on Sunday November 8.”
